Pavers Houston

Pavers Houston presents so many options when it comes to outdoor decking.  There are a few items to keep in mind when making those decisions.  The number one issue is durability.  You have to ask yourself how long will the pavers last?  Will they be there ten years from now?  Or will you be forced to buy again in a few years?  Travertine pavers have shown to be especially durable.  They can last for centuries.  The second issue is the slip factor.  It is important to determine how easy it is to slip on the pavers that you are selecting.  Travertine pavers come with pits in them.  That not only gives them a natural stone look.  It also causes them to get less slick as they get wet.  That is why so many people are putting them in outdoor decking.  I would encourage you to take a few pavers and put them on the ground.  Pour water on the pavers and then walk across them.  You will notice that the travertine pavers build up suction that will avoid nasty falls.  This is especially important if you have young children.  Children have a tendency to run around the pool no matter how much mom and dad warn against such activity.  It would be nice to know that your paver is not extra slick around the wet surface.  One final factor with the pavers is how cool they get in the Summer time.  Do you remember the heat of last Summer in Houston?  It was so hot for so many days.  Travertine pavers are lighter and therefore they do not get as hot as other surfaces.  Try laying out a few pavers in the hot Houston weather.  Leave them alone and let them bake.  Then go back and test the travertine pavers next to the slate or concrete pavers.  You will notice a huge difference.  Some of the other pavers can burn your feet.
